The establishment of IBSU was marked by the joint efforts of Georgia’s second president, Eduard Shevardnadze, and Turkey’s former prime minister, Tansu Çiller. The university was set up following the decree of the Council of Ministers and with the permission of Georgia’s Ministry of Education. The main purpose of IBSU is to offer Georgian and international students top-notch education in various scientific, technical, and professional disciplines.
