Refund and Payment Policy
Payment safety guidance for students and parents using GeorgianUniversity.com or applying to universities in Georgia.
Before Making Any Payment
Students and parents should request a written explanation of what the payment covers, who receives it, whether it is paid to a university or service provider, what is refundable, what is not refundable, and what documents or receipts will be issued.
- Confirm the university and program before paying.
- Ask for an invoice or written payment instruction.
- Keep bank, card, transfer, or receipt records.
- Avoid paying to unknown personal accounts.
- Check whether third-party fees are refundable.
- Do not rely on payment as proof of guaranteed admission or guaranteed visa.
Refund Principles
Refund rules depend on the nature of the payment and the organization receiving it. University tuition, application fees, bank fees, document translation, courier costs, service fees, visa fees, residence fees, and accommodation deposits may all follow different rules.
| Payment type | What to check |
|---|---|
| University payment | Use the university’s official invoice, bank details, and refund rules. |
| Application or service fee | Confirm the service scope, timing, and refund conditions in writing before paying. |
| Document or courier costs | These may be non-refundable once work has started or a shipment has been sent. |
| Visa or government fees | These are controlled by the relevant authority and may not be refundable. |
